We carry original, and prints-on-canvas, of talented local star, Michael Lonechild.

Michael captures the feeling of serenity and sentimentality that shroud the style of the days of the horse-drawn era. Many of his images include the essence with which the First Nations people understand the dual relationship of the spiritual and physical realm.

Michael says, "My technique is what people call the 'overlapping style': I paint over and over the same area to build up the mood."

He also portrays people living off the land and their relationship to it compared to the imposing realities of the oil rigs on lands where his people once hunted.
